Welp,
Kris and I have been trying to plan a vacation away in March, with my sister and parents to somewhere warm and all inclusive. It feels like it’s been in the works forever, we’ve been talking, meandering, wondering, deciding, seeing if we could afford it… since July. My brother, his wife and their twin sons were supposed to come with us, but they ended up doing their own thing and went to Florida for two weeks over Christmas.
On Tuesday my Mom and I went to the travel agent and got some information and some dates, and Kris applied to have them off, and he was approved last night (YAYAYAY) and my parents found a daycare for their retriever and my mom and sissy booked off work, and I found a bathing suit for baby Huey (most important)… and we’re finally booking today!! Headed to Jamaica!!
(I think) Because we haven’t actually phoned yet today to confirm with the travel agent. But it feels like 99% real. Like it’s going to happen. COOL! I feel so lucky. We wouldn’t be able to afford this trip on our own, nor would I likely invest in it right while we’re trying to save for a house and finish paying school loans, so it’s a huge blessing - Kris’ mom is actually paying for us to take this holiday. With my family.
It will be mine and Kris’ first time out of North America!! … and my parents and sissy too.. they’ve never been outta here either!
